After 2 months we finally got the new engine mounted to the bell housing so we could test the fit. It looks like we’ll have to cut all the mounts and very possibly the bottom as well. We’re contacting the car manufacturer hoping they can send us some reference pictures.

I’ve been curious to know how they keep the overall body length of the vehicle nice and short despite packing the engine and transmission behind the driver. How long is the transmission for something like this?

The transmission is actually behind the rear axle.
